Extra FLV SWF Video Converter is a flash to video converter. It takes both FLV and SWF files as input and it can output files in most common video formats. It makes use of conversion profiles so that the users can convert files for playback on devices like Zunes, PocketPCs, and PSPs. There are also profiles for AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, FLV, MOV, and 3GP, which are supported by many other devices.
The application doesn't support drag and drop, so you have to add files manually. It does support batch operations, so you can add as many files as you want and they will all be converted using the selected profile.
Converting files is quite easy. You simply add the file and then click on one of the profiles at the top of the screen. A video player will let you preview your file and you can change settings like format, resolution, and quality within the conversion profile settings. Conversions during my testing were quite fast. A 4-minute FLV file was successfully converted into an XVID file in less than 15 seconds. The file was then playable with VLC. Quality was conserved, so was audio/video sync. |
